I photographed Marie Boitte on a windy day in San Francisco. She is a transplant from France. It was back in 2013 or 14 when I photographed this kooky rodeo girl named Mattie Borders. I can't recall what role she played, but it was a dangerous one. Mattie explained how the rodeo almost cost her her leg. I love thrill seekers. They have the most interesting stories if they live long enough to tell them. You can get just about everything you'd ever want from another person, but you need to know how to ask for it. I'll be honest with you. Shyla didn't come into our shoots prepared to pose nude for the camera. She claims to be shy and reserved in her normal life. So what gives? Your guess is as good as mine. Maybe it helped that my enthusiasm validated her beauty. Maybe I treated her respectfully. Maybe she had an urge to do something wild and dangerous. From my experience, it is easier and more effective to exercise kindness and patience in human interactions. The only exception to this rule is if you are dealing with someone who does not share your opinion on masks and vaccines. In that case, they are garbage and they should be discarded as such.
Hair is so nasty. It gets stinky, dirty, itchy, sweaty. Yuck! Shave it all off. Wax it. Have it removed by laser. In fact, skin is also pretty gross. Don't just stop at the follicles, peel that lemon. The new standard in style is bone and some functional muscle. This is what now defines a civilized human being in today's world. Don't get stuck in the past like Desiree Jacobsen. She might look happy and comfortable, but we all really know what's going on. Barbarism.
Part 2 has arrived of this exquisite woman photographed by Max. The war continues and is disgusting to me when viewed from any angle--the exact opposite of how I feel about Lana Lane. A fan recently wrote me saying that he could help bring Chinese talent to Zishy. I was skeptical, because similar claims have gotten my hopes up in the past and then developed into squat diddly. This time though, I was not entirely disappointed. Ben was able to track down an attractive model and a competent photographer. Truth be told, this set is very light on nudity. Banana Li's wholesome demeanor is not just an act. I still appreciate the aesthetics of the photography and welcome more contributions from any locale. Although I am bummed that I have to cancel my visit to the Middle East, Airbnbs in Gaza City cost an arm and a leg, literally, I find some consolation in this new set from our contributor Dante. The beauty of Alissa Foxy is remarkable. So much so, it temporarily distracts from the reality that we are living in the midst of a modern world war. I have come to terms with this. It's fine. Everything is fine. I have the Zishy bunker ready. The underground studio was finished last week. We ain't going nowhere.
I really enjoyed Middlesex. The novel follows one family across different eras and under some of the strangest circumstances. The topics of incest and hermaphroditism could have easily been used to shock the reader. And although their explorations are shocking, I am ultimately drawn in by the human and historical aspects of the narrative. I really hate to agree with Oprah on this one, but it is a great book. Minka Giertz is also pretty great. There will be more of her soon.
